Christy Freeman is a Chicago artist specializing in various mediums such as watercolor, acrylic and oil on canvas. Her work is vibrant and full of color. “I let the nature of the medium dictate the overall look of the piece. With watercolors, I let the paint flow and race across the page…acrylics are funky and fun…oils bring out the traditional, earthy qualities of the pigments.”
Christy studied art at Springfield College in Illinois & Kansas City School of Art and Design. In 2004, she moved to Chicago to begin her career in art and discovered a welcoming pet loving community. Along with painting custom portraits, Christy also donates her time and artwork to local animal rescue groups and no-kill shelters to help raise money to support their cause.
